I usually use a Windows desktop computer but will occasionally use my laptop. At a push I’ll use my iPad or even my phone but don’t really like to as it is using the app so I don’t know what it’s going to look like when it’s published until I can get on my computer.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Oh, lots of things: an optician, solicitor, teacher … I don’t think I ever wanted to be an administrator although I did volunteer in the office of a refugee camp in Hong Kong when I was 15. I do like being the “Queen of Paperwork” now though.
Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?
I grew up all over the world. We left the UK when I was 2 and didn’t stop moving until I left school at 18. I grew up in major cities in Africa, Asia and Australia. I loved moving around but I was grounded too as I went to boarding school in the UK. It’s very difficult to answer people when they ask “Where are you from?” Do I say south London because that is where I went to school or Kent because that is where I was born? Or any of the many places we lived when I was a child? Or Hampshire because that is where I lived the longest?
How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
Probably in my early to mid-30s. Most of my friends are either 10 years older or 10 years younger than me and I’m always told that I don’t look as old as I am. I actually feel better than I did 10 years ago too. A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I was my son’s older sister 😀
