I didn’t know there was a National Stationery Week. How did I not know that there was a National Stationery Week? I love stationery, especially notebooks and pens. In fact, Paperchase is one of my favourite shops.
I have 3 or 4 notebooks on the go at any one time with at least 2 or 3 waiting to be started. Oh, and pens, don’t get me started on pens. I love pens. I think I have over 10 “nice” patterned pens, not those cheap biros but nice pens. I really like post-it notes too.
I’d like to say that I still write letters on a regular basis, not including the ones I write as part of my job, but I don’t. I do, however, write postcards when I go on holiday. I should write more postcards and/or letters. It’s nice to receive post that isn’t a formal letter, bill or bank statement. If I write letters, maybe other people will write them back to me. Probably not though considering a 2nd class stamp costs 53p and a 1st class stamp costs 62p. So, it is a lot cheaper, not to mention quicker, to write an email.
They are celebrating a different stationery item every day via their Facebook page. Yesterday was pencils and today is notebooks.
Finally, I still use a paper diary/filofax at work and home as well as a wall calendar to keep track of all my appointments. I have an electronic diary on my phone too but that is only because I can set a reminder alarm for an hour before the appointment so I’m not late!
If you love stationery as much as I do, enjoy National Stationery Week!
