One of my 101 tasks in 1001 days is to walk/run/swim from home to Walt Disney World. This is a virtual walk and I will not actually be doing it for real, not least because I cannot swim across the Atlantic Ocean.
The distance, as the crow flies, according to mapcrow.info is 6,882 km (4276 miles). This means that in order to complete my journey from home to WDW, I need to average 6.88 km (4.27 miles) per day for the 1,001 days I have to complete the challenge. I really didn’t think that through did I? I’m hoping that I will be able to make it as I wear a pedometer which calculates the distance I have walked as well as the number of steps so, if I take that distance rather than just the distances I know that I have done through running, walking and swimming I may be able to make it. So far I have done the following:
|Virtual Walk to WDW||6882||km|
|Date||Distance on pedometer||Distance swum||Total done||Left to go|
So far I have averaged 4.72 km per day so I need to up the distance which shouldn’t be hard once I start increasing my swimming and run training for the Swimathon, Race for Life and Run for All which I will be doing later this year.
